After much delay, Smashterpiece #8 has finally arrived! Joe and Matt travel to Dinosaur Island in the game chosen to represent fighter #14, Bowser. It’s the 1990 SNES game Super Mario World! Along the way they pick up a guest host, Ben (Read the Manual, Moon Prism Power Hour) and head off to save Princess Peach from the notorious Koopa Kids. Why is this game such a fantastic introduction to the SNES? Are there any missteps at all in what some would consider a perfect game? How did the Koopa Kids get their names and why are we going to fight a man in a Bass Pro Shop? All this and more can be found on today’s episode!
